Volunteers
As a nonprofit organization, NCBTMB relies heavily on its volunteers. Because while day-to-day operations are handled by an experienced team of staff members; it is the volunteers who contribute the real-world expertise needed to drive the organization and its mission.

We are currently seeking volunteers in the following work areas:

Approved Provider Committee – We have current availability for members of the Approved Provider Committee. Applicants must have teaching experience, preferably in Continuing Education, and current National Certification.

Eligibility Committee – Eligibility Committee members are needed to evaluate appeals submitted by applicants who were deemed ineligible for National Certification because of their criminal background history. Minimum requirements include five years of experience in the massage profession and current National Certification.

Subject Matter Experts – We are seeking SMEs with superior writing skills to work on a short-term item development project. Volunteers should have a broad knowledge of massage and bodywork and should understand and respect the importance of confidentiality and exam security. There is a specific application for SMEs. Click here to apply.
